GeoMap Update Wednesday

Hey guys,

I'm heading out for the weekend (but Rhutton and Shabutie will both be here), and I wanted to give a heads up that the geomap update will be ready on or before wednesday.

Also, we're working on several other updates, and a few may be out this week as well!

Hmm...my map does not display the correct user age. For instance mine shows me to be 31 when I'm still 30. My birthday hoever is this month. Does it not use the actual day and just rounds to the nearest month?

I've got the updated version email (GeoMap 2.1 for 1.6+). As I have already installed the older version (GeoMap 2.0 for 1.6+), what are the steps to replace the older version with new one?

And before installing the update, I want to know the new added/updated features in GeoMap 2.1 for 1.6+

Hi Khurram, not support, just a customer like you. I did not have any previous versions so can't tell you what's new or fixed but here are the main features as I see them:

ADMIN SIDE

Google API Key setting.
Ability to set lat/long initial load Map focus.
Ability to set default # of users plotted on map on load.
Ability to toggle on IP lookup for members without proper address set in profile.
Ability to set marker color preference for male/female/unkown
Ability to toggle on/off footer
Ability to clear maps cache which forces app to retrieve new coords for user plots


USER SIDE

Large format members map, smaller profile page map
Both maps plot Google maps pin at member location
Pins utilize Google maps dialogue box to display member data such as avatar, username, location, etc.
User has ability to filter results on main map by # of members, gender, and age range

Hey UEFAChamps, thanks man! Actually I am using the GeoMap 2.0 for 1.6+. I need to know the updates in the new version i.e. GeoMap 2.1 for 1.6+. I would be thankful if any one can differentiate in these.

Sorry I didn't specify...what I posted is in regard to "GeoMap v2.1 for phpfox 1.6" but like I said I don't know what in it is new from 2.0 (LOL). Good luck!

All of the 'options' are new the geomap with 2.0. Also, the code has been optimized and finding locations for users has been improved to 99% from ~85%
