Hi I have heavily modded PHPfox 1.6 and very happy with the current state of my site, I am reluctant to upgrade to 2.0 until it is well established and all the bugs etc are ironed out + it means a lot of redoing work!

Looking at the new arcade mod with the features such as:

# Supports MochiMedia Games
# Supports MochiMedia Multiplayer Games (over 100 multiplayer games!)
# Supports MochiMedia Game Ads (make money every time a game is played on your site!)

I can see no reason why this could not be done for PHPfox 1.6.

There are loads of 1.6 PHPfox sites that will not be upgrading if ever don't forget us!!

Thanks,

James

Doing that for 1.6 is something we can do, but at this time we have to dedicate our efforts to completing our v2 line of products before revisiting our 1.6 products again.

What exactly are you waiting for to move to v2? If I were you, I would move as soon as 2.0.4 comes out. From what I can tell, its going to fix pretty much all current issues.

Great to here you are not going to abandon 1.6 :)

I very much like the idea of the multiplayer games and ads within games, do you have a timeline for upgrading the 1.6 arcade to have these features?

Basically we have customised the site alot and because of this it has most of what is available on 2.0 already. We are really very happy with the way 1.6 functions, also our users are used to the site, and people don't like change.

When we build a new site we will def use 2.0 but we may keep the current site as 1.6 but still want to be able to improve it.

Thanks for your reply

If there was more time in the day we'd want to work on it now, but right now pretty much all of our time is wrapped up in v2. I really can't give an eta.

On that note, I know you and a lot of others feel stuck with 1.6, but the move to v2 is totally worth it.
